Kuala Lumpur, 8 March 2007 – Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd today unveiled the All New Honda CR-V in an event that showcases the distinctive features of the leading sports utility vehicle to the hilt. The third generation CR-V bore the hallmark of Honda all over its exterior design and luxurious interior.
Positioned as the "Premium Driving SUV", the All New CR-V has been reengineered and completely redesigned. It incorporates features that offer SUV practicality and more car-like driving dynamics with greater comfort in a luxurious interior and a bolder, emotional exterior.
Honda expects the All New CR-V to ride on the success of its predecessors which have seen sales of 2.5 million units in 160 countries. Reviews of this new global flagship model have been favourable and the bookings from other countries have been very encouraging. In the USA alone, sales of the All New CR-V soared over 20,000 units within one month of its launch.
Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr Yasuhide Mizuno expressed confidence that the new CR-V will impress discerning Malaysian motorists as it has in other countries. Honda Malaysia targets to sell 3,600 units within the first year of its launch here.
The All New CR-V is targeted at demanding professionals who appreciate a fuel efficient SUV that accords comfortable driving experience and can stylishly function as a daily vehicle, a family car or a vehicle that complements an active outdoor lifestyle.

The All New CR-V radical exterior is fronted by a striking, cab-forward look, rounder roofline and curvier tailgate that evoke a feeling of instant attraction. It begs you to take a second look at its tougher, lower body and aerodynamic, sleek profile.
The All New CR-V has better aerodynamics due to its unique body design which enhances fuel economy.
Drivers will find the All New CR-V a comfortable drive. The 150 horsepower 2.0-litre i-VTEC (Intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) engine is coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission to provide a well-balanced performance, fuel efficiency and driving comfort.
The centre of gravity has been lowered by 35 mm and track widened by 30 mm, giving the All New CR-V better driving performance, more stability and greater agility.

A new Double Deck load shelf in the cargo area allows items in the cargo area to be segregated neatly for an organized storage. The upper deck which stretches across the load bay can hold up to 10kg and can be removed to fit snugly down into the recess for a different cargo space requirement.
Honda's dedication to safety is exemplified in the All New CR-V with the G-Force Control Technology (G-CON) body. Other safety features include two intelligent Sensor Control (i-SRS) front airbags that measure impact energy and seat belt use for the safest possible deployment. The All New CR-V also comes with Honda's innovative front seat active head rest which intuitively move forward and upward enhances the seat's ability to minimize potential neck injury from rear-end collisions.
The All New CR-V is also equipped with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) that selectively and independently brake the wheels to improve braking stability.
Produced at Honda's manufacturing plant in Pegoh, Melaka, the All New CR-V comes in 5 colours of Alabaster Silver Metallic, Nighthawk Black Pearl, Opal Beige Metallic, Sparkle Gray Pearl and Bronze Silver Pearl.
The All New CR-V is also luxuriously appointed with larger headlights, side mirror with turn lights, Electric Power Steering (EPS), cruise control, a 6 CD MP3 + aux music system, steering audio switch and a security alarm system.
